Dear Jesus,

We praise you for your goodness and mercy and thank you for the example of Self-Control in your life. We remember how you resisted the devil’s temptation in the desert for 40 days. Help us to control our impulses and set our own limits. Remind us not to equate desires with rights. Teach us to walk away from what is not right and to develop habits that help us make good choices. Help us to act in all things in harmony with the will of the Father.
