You will need a printed copy of the Heavenly Treasure Chest or a similar item, along with some adhesive “jewels”. Begin by discussing God’s generosity and how he has been generous to the family and community. Explain that we should also want to be generous to others. When we imitate his generosity, we are giving him honor and glory and storing up treasures in heaven. Ask for suggestions on how each family member or the family as a unit can express God’s generosity to others. Tell the children that whenever they do something generous, they get to place a jewel in the Heavenly Treasure Chest. At the end of the month, review all of the kind and generous things that the family accomplished and thank God for the opportunities.
