Essay
The Gratefulness Race
by Mary Andres Russell
One exercise that we sometimes conduct in “Energizing” sessions for our business clients is The Gratefulness Race. The idea is to take five minutes to write down all the things for which you are grateful. The person who comes up with the longest list wins!
Whenever you are feeling discouraged or having a down day, I encourage you to make this list. We have so much to be grateful for – consider your home, community, those you love, your health and the health of your family, keepsakes and memories The list goes on and on. And in making this list, our spirits can’t help but lift.
This month, challenge yourself to The Gratefulness Race. Better yet, challenge someone else. You’ll both be winners!
