GOD IS THE EXAMPLE

SCRIPTURE: Galatians 4:4: “But when the right time came, the time God decided on, He sent His Son, born of a woman, born as a Jew.” (from the living Bible).

The word punctual literally means “at the right or exact point”. In terms of time, it means “exactly on time”. For the character quality punctuality, my assignment is to write about some character who demonstrates this quality in his or her life. But as I thought on it, I realized that I have never known anybody who is always exactly on time. Either he or she are usually early or late, but seldom “exactly on time”…

… except God. And so, I choose God as the best example of this quality. And why not? Jesus was born exactly on time. The Scripture sited above from the King James Version reads, “when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son ….” Think of it, God had to synchronize the whole Roman Empire and the Wise Men from the East to produce the “right” or “fullness of time”.

Sometimes, when we weary of praying for something, we are reminded that “God is seldom early, (in our reckoning), but He is never late.”

Why is God always on time? Because He made time and He authorizes all appointments. So, let your hearts with Jesus rest. “Fret not yourselves about tomorrow, for you know not what a day may bring forth”, but God does. He’s always punctual, at the right spot, at the right time. Count on it and let us learn to be more like Him. Punctuality is a Godly trait.
