Patience (vs. Restlessness)

Taking the time necessary to work through a difficult situation

To practice Patience I will:

  • Change the things I can change and accept the things I can’t
  • Keep trying until I succeed
  • Make the most of my spare time
  • Not interrupt
  • Not complain if I don’t get my way

A young mother once had these words of wisdom to her youngster who was restless while waiting in line at the grocery. “You can either practice patience or complaining. Which do you want to be better at?”

This month choose to practice patience whenever the opportunity arises.

“The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg – not by smashing it. ”

– Arnold Glasow

“If I have ever made any valuable discoveries, it has been owing more to patient attention, than to any other talent. ”

– Isaac Newton
