Many businesses who participate in the character development program choose to go one step further and become a “Business of Character.” Such a step involves an ongoing commitment to encourage good character in the workplace, practice the monthly character qualities and promote character development within the community.

A business that develops a qualifying “Business of Character” plan will be recognized by the Character Council of Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky as a “Business of Character.” In recognition of this, the Character Council will:

  • Post the company’s name and commitment on the web site www.charactercincinnati.org
  • Provide the company with the “Business of Character” seal (shown below) in electronic format, for use on their web site, print materials, etc.
  • Make available a plaque for purchase, to hang on the company’s premises, showing dates of commitment (renewable each year)
  • Include the company’s name in promotional materials, publications, presentations and media opportunities where appropriate
  • Provide the company with opportunities to sponsor events in the community that help fulfill the company’s commitment to promote character.
