A recent well-known politician had an immoral relationship with his female employee. First, he denied it. Later, he admitted it. But he never took responsibility for his sin: he blamed his problems on political rivals and what he called "the politics of personal destruction." His wife blamed "a vast right-wing conspiracy."
By contrast, a just man named Job is described in the Bible as "blameless, upright, fearing God, and turning away from evil". (Job 1:1) Job's weath, ten children and health were all taken away from him. The Bible tells us that Job's troubles were the result of Satan's hatred of Job and Satan's controversy with God. Satan thought Job would curse God if God removed his blessings.
Job was a just man. He did not blame others for his problems. He took responsibility for his actions and said, "I have declared that which I do not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I do not know." (Job 42:3) "And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the LORD increased all that Job had twofold." (Job 42:10)
